Welcome

I have started this blog as a way to document what parents are exposed to in the media (magazines, newspapers, and television) regarding parenting and child development.  Much of the information that parents receive today are from other parents or from "experts" in the field.  Because the sources of material varies, it is very important to be able to evaluate the information.  Just because one parent has a certain experience, does not mean that children typically behave in that manner or parents should behave in that manner.  As the course progresses, check in with this blog to see what a parent may be exposed to and how it may affect their parenting.  Feel free to respond or comment on the material being posted.
